Coming Events

Wanamakers calendar 1951.JPG

Please consider all events tentative at this time, and as the weather forecasters say,
"Check back often for updates."
As Robin and Linda Williams have said often "Live music makes you smarter!" So come see us!

October 1, 2023                       Emmaus Farmers Market                          The Triangle in Emmaus, PA    10:00 a.m. to 1:00

Fall fun at the Market! Looking for supplies to stock up for the fall season, and on into the                                                          dreary months of winter, too. Dancing, dogs, and goodies everywhere. Come out and say hi!

October 7, 2023                        Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm            49th Annual Harvest Festival, 10:00-5:00

                                                                                                                          10/7 & 10/8

A wonderful event! Demonstrations of heritage crafts and trades, as well as cooking,                                                             candle dipping, scrapple making, tanning, leather work, spinning, weaving and more!                                                             Other highlights include one-room school presentations, Civil War encampment, folk                                                             entertainment, refreshments, quilt raffle, wagon rides, and children's activities!  (As                                                               expected - we're part of the music throughout the farm, with many friends, including                                                             Norm Williams and Jim Heck.)

October 13, 2023                   Kutztown Folk Music Society                                     7:30 p.m.    Doors Open at 6:00 p.m.

It's surely been a long time - and we're glad to be back! Norm Williams joins us for a fine                                                        evening of mostly but not strictly old-time songs and tunes. Banjo, guitar, fiddle, various                                                          mountain dulcimers, and lots of fine singing, which we especially enjoy. Come on out!

St. Paul's UCC, 47 South Whiteoak Street, in downtown Kutztown.

December 2 & 3, 9 & 10        Old-time Christmas at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm     2:30 - 7:00 p.m.                  2023

Enjoy Christmas in the 1800s on candlelit guided tours of Quiet Valley. Lanterns and                                                            luminaries will abound and the farm will be decked out in festive holiday finery. We'll                                                          be holding down the schoolhouse carol singing, but there's a bonfire, refreshments,                                                            and a visit with an old Pennsylvania German folk character, the Belschnikel! A lovely,                                                          old-fashioned way to start the holiday season. Hot chocolate and cookies, too!

December 17,2023                Brightest and Best: An Old-time Christmas Celebration                3:00 PM, Godfrey Daniels

We are so fortunate to be able to gather friends and family again to present Brightest and                                                       Best. It's almost more fun to plan and rehearse than to do the performance, but just the                                                         same you'll hear tunes, stories, maybe a poem or two, and lots of singing. Expect the usual                                                     list of friends and kin: Tom and Betty, Norm Williams, Nate Druckenmiller, and Charles                                                             Kiernan.  Check Godfrey's website later on for reservations. Godfrey's is in South Bethlehem                                                   at 7 East 4th Street; as Dave Fry used to say "Positively 4th Street."
